Krista & Greg {Engagement Session}

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

There is a tenderness to Krista and Greg that I really like; a form of kindness in the way they interact that feels like you’re holding something delicate with the gentlest of touches.  The whole time we were shooting, I could see them forgetting I was there, losing themselves in each other – absorbed in a moment that I was fortunate enough to capture.  Love, in its purest and most unbridled form, comes when the world fades away and all you see, touch and feel, is each other.

Megan & Jeremy's Beautiful Downtown Wedding

Friday, August 22, 2014

There is something inherently fun about downtown weddings! There is an energy in the city that is hard to replicate anywhere else and I always love photographing the contrast of a couple dressed in their wedding attire amid the hustle and bustle of the loud urban streets – especially when they give me free reign to steal them away from their wedding reception to take advantage of places like E. 4th!

 I knew Megan and Jeremy were going to be an amazing couple to work with when we first did their engagement session, in the woods, in winter, near a frozen waterfall and Megan still wore heeled boots and a huge smile.  I think, in many ways, that really sums them up as a couple.  No matter what’s in front of them, they’ll meet it head on and still manage to laugh along the way.

Watching them celebrate their love amid the sophistication and glamor of the iron wrought majesty of Arcade was like watching a scene from a Hemingway novel unfold.  Together, under a canopy of lights they danced, with the sounds of their laughter echoing long into the night.

Anne & Rick's Rustic Lakeside Wedding

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

There is this remarkable quality to Anne and Rick that I have yet to put words to – it’s soft and loving, classic and comfortable. It's as if they just belong together.  Watching them interact is like wearing your favorite shirt.  It just makes you feel good.

It should come as no surprise that their wedding would also be the perfect pairing of eloquence and simplicity. On the edge of Lake Erie, under the shade of an old tree, Anne and Rick said "I do".  The simple rustic setting paired perfectly with the delicate bouquets of flowers and vintage games and décor.
