“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory”

Heather & Doug (Engagement Session}

Friday, November 15, 2013

I must confess, the best part of my job is telling the stories of others.  Everyone person I photograph is so unique and their stories so different, that I can hardly wait to see what the next photo shoot will bring!

It was a beautiful fall morning when I met Heather and Doug for their engagement session.  The air was light and crisp and the leaves were awash in the golden light of the season. It was, picture perfect.

These two were so natural in front of the camera – they folded into each others' arms like perfectly shaped puzzle pieces and they smiled with an effortless grace.  For a brief moment I was allowed a glimpse into their love story – a story filled with the passion of the open road, of quiet Sunday afternoons, of simple moments with family and friends around the fire and of a long and comforting love.

So excited to see what their wedding will bring!

Jeovanna & Sean {A Bridal Session}

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

It’s a rare quality these days to find things that last. Timelessness is foreign concept in in an age where everything is replaceable. There was an unseasonable chill in the air and rain loomed heavy in the distance as we walked around the manicured landscape punctuated with classic works of art. The stillness of the scene was broken only by the soft and distant sounds of the city.

“Long life and happiness to you both” was the wish from an older couple as they walked past hand-in-hand, lost in their own reverie of love.  I can understand their sentiment. Jeovanna and Sean smiled and laughed like newlyweds - the passage of time had not tempered their love, it stood like the stone surrounding us; strong, enduring and timeless.

I had so much fun on this shoot -  Jeovanna and Sean embody all the good qualities that we can hope to achieve and I was honored to be able to give them wedding photos.

Brian Michelle and Laney {A family portrait}

Sunday, November 10, 2013
I had the privilege of photographing Brian and Michelle's wedding last year and was thrilled when they contacted me to do a little family portrait session last month.  Despite the cold, wind and Laney's propensity to chase after squirrels, we had a lot of fun doing the shoot!  Here are a few highlights =)

Ashley & Tom {A Sneak Peak}

Monday, November 4, 2013
There was a chill in the air and the sky held the threat of rain.  Autumn had finally come to Cleveland.  And yet, in spite of the weather, from the moment I first met Ashley she wore a smile.  This was her wedding day and all that really mattered was Tom.  That day, under the changing seasons, with the warmth of summer reluctantly giving way to the icy caress of fall, Ashley and Tom were married -  surrounded by a sea of their family and friends.
