Meagan & Robin {Engagement Session}

Tuesday, May 20, 2014
It was a long drive - roughly an hour through interstates and back country roads.  The destination was a quiet slice of manicured natural perfection.  Everywhere spring was fighting to take hold.  Flowering trees were just beginning to open; and, tulips in their rainbow glory, swayed gently under soft breeze.

Under the warm fading sun Meagan and Robin danced amid the sculpted hedgerows and neatly trimmed trees. In this place where the symmetry of nature had been pruned to the exactness of man, their quiet and genuine smiles shone through the landscape as the truest form of perfection.

It's Not About the Camera

"You don't make a photograph with just a camera.  You bring to the act of photography all of the pictures that you ever have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved."

Kristen & Mike {A Sneak Peek}

Thursday, May 15, 2014
There is something profound about the way free-spirited people live life. It’s as if they see the world differently. They understand some nuance of life that others seemingly miss.  They love in a way that’s pure and from the heart. They don’t follow the dictates of others but rather heed the call of their own hearts and express their love for life and each other in a way that’s all their own.

I’m always excited when I sit down and meet a couple for the first time – in a way it’s almost like a first date.  What will they be like? What excites them about life? What plans do they have for their wedding?  It’s an endless list of possibilities and what-if’s and I love every minute of it!

When I first met Kristen and Mike I knew that we’d be friends.  I sensed something in them that is unique and good and saw the vision of their wedding as the tangible expression of their love and their life together.  Vintage cars and the formality of country club living mixed with the playfulness of an old-fashioned ice cream shop. When a bride tells you she’s walking down the aisle to the Beatles, you know it’s going to be a good wedding.

Bits of travel mixed with family, history and fun – their wedding was eloquence married to simplicity. It was perfectly them.

Anne & Rick {Engagement Session}

Thursday, May 1, 2014
The streets of the normally quiet Chagrin Falls were bustling with activity.  The warm sun and the pending holiday drew people to the town center to celebrate the arrival of spring with timeless traditions.  A chill hung in the air, stirred about by the breeze, but it did little to dampen the spirits of Ohioans worn weary from a long winter’s chill.

I loved how Anne and Rick fit so seamlessly into this setting.  There is something comforting about small town America, a little bit of nostalgia for the bygone days of polite interactions and gentler schedules: a time, when you could stroll hand-in-hand under the warm spring sun with never a care in the world.   Anne and Rick harken back to those simpler days - with a love that is gentle, deep and comforting, like so many fond memories from yesteryear.
