There is a long avenue of birch trees, and when the sun hits
it just right, it fills the whole pathway with beautiful golden light. All around us was the commotion of sightseers
and wedding guests; the old stone and brick façade of Stan Hywet peeking through
the lush and manicured grounds while family and friends gathered in its
shadow. The sounds of gentle music from
a string quartet played softly upon the breeze and the rest of the world seemed
to fade away.
It was here, just at the end of the avenue of trees that Ted
and Susan were married. The soft clouds and
warm sun graced the sky with their cheerful presence while family and friends
smiled along as the happy couple said, “I do”.
The remainder of the day was spent under the glass atrium of
the Akron Art Museum, the sounds of laughter and delight echoing off the
brushed steels walls and sculptures that adorned the placed. Long into the night they laughed and danced
in a place whose greatest works were inspired by that muse called love.
